After the NEET paper leak, the National Examination Agency is under the scanner. Now, uproar and sloganeering was seen during the CUET-UG examination conducted by NTA. Due to a technical glitch during the CUEUT-UG examination in Noida, the first shift examination had to be postponed, while the second shift examination was also delayed by one hour. The second shift examination was to start from 3 pm. It started one hour late at 4 pm. During this time, there was a huge commotion at the Adarsh ​​Examination Center in Noida Sector-64. Angry candidates also raised slogans against NTA. Due to not getting correct information on time, there was huge resentment among the students and their families.

According to NTA, the problem has now been resolved and full compensatory time is being given to all the candidates, so that no candidate is disadvantaged. Dissatisfaction among students and parents

NTA also released the new timing of the second shift of the exam. The agency said, “The reporting of the candidates will be at 2:30 pm, while the examination will now start at 4 pm instead of 3 pm.” The agency said that the candidates of the morning session are also being given full scheduled time to solve the question paper and will be allowed to go out of the center only after the completion of the examination. NTA said, “We express our regret for the inconvenience caused to students and parents.” NTA has also issued a helpline number for assistance. Many students and parents took to social media platform ‘X’ to complain about the delay in the examination and alleged that proper information was not given at the examination centres.

CUET exam started in 2022

The Common University Entrance Examination-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) was introduced in 2022. It is a national level standardized entrance examination conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate courses in central, state and some private universities of the country. CUET-UG, the country’s second biggest entrance exam, has faced several operational problems at various stages since its launch in 2022. These include last-minute changes in examination centres, delays in entry of candidates and commencement of examination at many centres, and technical issues such as server and ‘login failures’ at some centres. There have also been incidents of cancellation of examinations due to system related problems at some centers and re-conducting of examinations for the affected candidates. In some cases, students complained about confusion regarding the information given in the admit card and exam dates, due to which they could not appear in the exam. These recurring problems have increased the concern among students and parents about the smooth conduct of the examination.
