Chances of rain in Delhi-NCR even today

During this period, there may be heavy rain along with strong thunderstorm in some areas of Delhi on Saturday. According to the Meteorological Department, wind can blow at a speed of 75 to 80 kilometers per hour during this period. The Meteorological Department said that humidity may increase due to rain in Delhi-NCR. The maximum temperature in Delhi can be 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can be 29 degrees Celsius.
Orange alert issued regarding rain in UP
Regarding Uttar Pradesh, the Meteorological Department said that the south-west monsoon has intensified in Uttar Pradesh. IMD’s regional meteorological center in Lucknow has issued an orange alert for the state and predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at many places till July 11 due to active monsoon conditions. In the last 24 hours, Mawana in Meerut recorded the highest rainfall of 315 mm in the state, followed by Jansath in Muzaffarnagar with 270.1 mm of rainfall. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain at isolated places in Dehradun, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Nainital and Bageshwar for Saturday, July 11. Strong winds may also blow during this period. However, after the weather department warned of heavy to very heavy rain, officials have increased surveillance. A 100-metre stretch of Yamunotri National Highway in Uttarkashi was damaged by a landslide. Due to continuous rains, the water level of Ganga, Yamuna and their tributaries as well as many smaller rivers has also increased.
Alert regarding landslide in Jammu and Kashmir
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for July 11 and 12 in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir. During this period, people have been advised to be cautious of floods, landslides and rains. Mendhar sub-division of Poonch district received heavy rain on Friday, due to which many areas were submerged. During this time many houses were damaged and dozens of people were trapped in the water. However, policemen conducted an operation and evacuated 25 people safely. Local people also helped him. Officials said the situation is being closely monitored. He has advised people living near rivers, streams and other flood-prone areas to remain alert and avoid unnecessary movement as heavy rains continue in the area.
Alert for 6 districts of Himachal Pradesh
Talking about Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rains and landslides in many areas. Yellow alert has been issued in six districts of Himachal Pradesh, Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur due to heavy rains. Even before this, heavy to very heavy rains disrupted normal life in many areas. Here roads were closed, bridges were damaged and trees were uprooted. Schools remained closed in many parts of the state. Officials said that due to closure of 27 link roads in Shimla, commuters faced problems. Incidents of stone falling were reported on the Kalka-Shimla National Highway, between Waknaghat and Kandaghat, and between Dharampur and Chakki Mor. There is a danger of landslide on Sangla bridge in Kinnaur district.
Whole week alert for north-eastern states
The IMD said in its bulletin that widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura between July 10-16. It also said that rainfall activity is likely to remain low over central and south peninsular India during the next 6-7 days.
