The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has raided the house of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal. Recently, Ashok Mittal has been made the deputy leader of Rajya Sabha by removing Raghav Chadha. ED team raided the house of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal and his son on Wednesday.
Ashok Mittal runs Lovely Professional University
The ED team has raided 8 to 9 locations. The ED team has raided the premises of the MP and his son in Gurugram and Punjab. Ashok Mittal runs Lovely Professional University, in which some irregularities related to funds have been found.
Raid in Jalandhar University also
Regarding this, ED raid is going on in houses and farm houses. The ED team has also reached Lovely Professional University located in Jalandhar. Raids are going on there too.
Know in which case action was taken
This action of ED has been taken due to investigation of violations of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). ED raids have been going on since early Wednesday. According to media reports, the ED team has not sought any assistance from the local police.
CM Mann targeted the center
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has targeted the Center over the ED raid on the house of the party’s Rajya Sabha MP. Bhagwant Mann said that BJP has started preparing for Punjab elections.
Ashok Mittal was given the post in place of Raghav Chadha.
