Amidst the uproar over the issue of NEET paper leak, an important meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Education Ministry has been held. According to sources, NTA Chairman and Higher Education Secretary had to face tough questions in this meeting. According to the information, in the meeting held on Monday, MPs from the ruling party and the opposition were united on this issue. Everyone said that this is a matter of children’s future, it is above party politics.
What was asked in the meeting?
According to the information revealed, Standing Committee Chairman Digvijay Singh asked both the NTA Chairman and Higher Education Secretary officials, “What is the guarantee that the exam (NEET exam) to be held on June 21 will not be leaked?” On this, both of them said that “We have taken all the steps which came to our notice earlier and which will be improved by making changes. It takes 5 months for us to re-exam, but we are conducting it in just 37 days.” On this, Digvijay said, “You had said the same thing when the exam was leaked earlier also. Will you guarantee that the exam on 21st will not be leaked?” On this, Ravi Shankar Prasad also expressed his views and asked, “If you people are saying that there will be no leak, will you both give a written guarantee?”
Questions on computer based test also
According to the information, Standing Committee Chairman Digvijay Singh also raised questions on computer based test next year. He said, “In today’s era, hacking is common, in such a situation, how will we ensure that CBT will not be leaked?” On this, both the officers said, “For this, we have formed a special committee, which will submit the report in 3 months. We will be able to discuss in detail when the report comes.” After this, Digvijay Singh said, “If the government is seriously monitoring it and is concerned about the future of the students, then it is a good thing, but by putting you forward, it is just trying to procrastinate, then you will have to bear the consequences.”
After the meeting, Digvijay Singh said- “We are confident that since the Prime Minister himself has taken responsibility for this matter, it will be resolved successfully in every way.”
