BJP has launched a scathing attack on Congress regarding the organizational reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh Congress. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi raised questions on Congress appointing Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’ as the president of Uttar Pradesh Congress and MP Imran Masood as the working president. He said that these appointments clearly show the difference between Mahatma Gandhi and today’s ‘Gandhis’.
Mention of Imran Masood’s old statement
Sudhanshu Trivedi said that on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Congress has given important responsibility to Imran Masood in Uttar Pradesh Congress. Referring to Masood’s old controversial statement, he targeted Congress. Trivedi alleged that Masood was in the news for his objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that on one hand Mahatma Gandhi was a symbol of peace and non-violence, while on the other hand Congress is giving important responsibility in the state organization to such a leader, whose old statements have been controversial.
Aradhana Mishra also cornered on the issue of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’
BJP spokesperson also made allegations against newly appointed State Congress President Aradhana Mishra. He claimed that Mishra had once asked Congress workers to stop raising the slogan of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and instead raise the slogan of ‘Congress Zindabad’. On the basis of these allegations, Trivedi said that a big difference has arisen between the current politics of Congress and the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi.
Organizational reshuffle of Congress before assembly elections
Congress on Friday made major changes in the Uttar Pradesh organization. Aradhana Mishra appointed state president Was. He has replaced Ajay Rai, who held the post since August 2023. The party has made Saharanpur MP Imran Masood the working president. Apart from this, Chaudhary Virendra Singh has been appointed the leader of the Congress Legislative Party in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Earlier, Aradhana Mishra was holding the responsibility of this post. This reshuffle has happened at a time when assembly elections are proposed in Uttar Pradesh next year.
Congress also attacked regarding Captain Smit Machar’s case
Sudhanshu Trivedi also raised questions on the top leadership of Congress regarding the aircraft incident related to Indian pilot Captain Smit Machar. He alleged that the Congress leadership did not respond adequately to the bravery of the pilot. Trivedi targeted Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi and claimed that the Congress leadership has maintained ‘silence’ on the incident. Linking it to the alleged ‘vote bank politics’ of the Congress leadership, he sought answers from the party.
Pilot was injured while saving the flight
On Wednesday, the co-pilot of flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv attacked Captain Smit Machar with a knife in the cockpit. According to the report, despite being seriously injured in the attack, Captain Machar played an important role in saving the aircraft. There were 174 passengers on board the plane. BJP has linked this incident to its political attack on Congress and has raised questions on the reaction of the top leadership of the party.
BJP sought answers from Congress leadership
Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the alleged silence of the top Congress leadership on the issue of bravery of Captain Machar should be viewed seriously. Citing the public reactions of members of the Gandhi family, he asked the Congress to explain why it did not react openly to the incident.
