CBI has made another major arrest in the country’s biggest medical entrance exam NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. The investigating agency has arrested a female accused from Pune, Maharashtra, who is said to be the main source of leaking Physics questions. According to CBI, the name of the arrested accused is Manisha Sanjay Havildar, who was working at Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala, Pune. According to the investigating agency, the questions shared by Manisha Havaldar were matched with the real Physics paper set of NEET-UG 2026 and similarity was found between the two. On this basis, CBI has considered him an important link in this entire paper leak network.
Manisha Havaldar had leaked Physics paper
CBI investigation has revealed that Manisha Havildar was appointed by NTA i.e. National Testing Agency as an expert in the NEET-UG 2026 examination process. Because of this he had direct access to the physics question papers. It is alleged that during April 2026, he had shared many physics questions related to the examination with co-accused Manisha Mandhare. Manisha Mandhare has already been arrested by CBI on 16 May 2026. CBI has also raided many places across the country in this case. Many important documents, laptops, bank statements and mobile phones have been seized during the search.
CBI investigation expedited
Now forensic investigation of these electronic devices and documents is being done to find out how big was the network of paper leak and who were the people involved in it. CBI said that this case was registered on May 12, 2026. This case started on the basis of a written complaint by the Higher Education Department of the Education Ministry. The complaint alleged that the papers of NEET-UG 2026 exam were leaked. As soon as the case was registered, CBI formed special teams and started action at many places across the country.
11 accused arrested so far
So far, a total of 11 accused have been arrested in this case. These arrests have been made from cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Nashik, Pune, Latur and Ahilyanagar. The investigation has also revealed that some middlemen used to take lakhs of rupees from the students and send them to special coaching classes, where allegedly the same questions were taught which would later appear in the NEET exam.
According to CBI, the middlemen involved in this entire racket have also been identified, who claimed to provide papers by charging huge amount from students and parents. The agency says that the investigation is continuing and the entire network of paper leaks will be exposed. CBI has claimed that in the investigation so far, the real source of question paper leak has been reached and there may be more big revelations in this matter in the coming days.
