New Delhi: It is extremely hot in many states of the country including Delhi. The Meteorological Department has predicted heat wave in the northern and central states of the country as well as heavy rainfall, thundershowers and strong winds in the northeastern, eastern and southern parts of the country. According to the weather department’s forecast, India will see two different types of weather trends in the period till April 29. While the heat of the sun will increase in a large part of the country, people will get relief from the heat due to rain in some areas.
Heat wave alert in these parts of the country
According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave is likely to continue till April 27 in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. Apart from this, heatwave conditions are also expected to persist in Odisha, Jharkhand and Kerala.
The temperature will rise further
The weather department said a gradual rise of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius is expected in northwest India by April 29. An increase of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius is also expected in Central India. Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, North Interior Karnataka and Gujarat and Odisha are recording day maximum temperatures between 40–44°C. The highest maximum temperature in India was recorded at 44.5°C in Sri Ganganagar (Rajasthan).
It will rain in these parts of the country
At the same time, there is a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Very heavy rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh states during April 25 to April 29. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also expected over the states of Assam and Meghalaya from April 26 to April 29. Meanwhile, there will be heavy rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. There will be rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh between April 25 and April 30.
There may be rain in Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab between 26 to 29 April. There may be moderate rainfall in Uttar Pradesh from 28th to 30th and in Rajasthan from 27th to 29th April. During this period, winds will blow at a speed of 30-40 km. There may be light rain in some parts of Bihar and Jharkhand today and tomorrow.
