Delhi Police Special Cell Arms Bust: Special Cell of Delhi Police has taken major action by busting the international arms smuggling racket. Police have recovered a consignment of sophisticated weapons brought to India through drone and border route on the instructions of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. A total of 9 accused have been arrested in this case. According to the police, the recovered weapons include foreign pistols like Zigana and Glock. A total of 23 sophisticated weapons and 92 cartridges have been seized. Apart from this, indigenous weapons made in Munger, Bihar have also been recovered.
Wires of arms supply network linked to ISI
Investigation has revealed that these weapons were to be delivered to gangsters and anti-social elements of Delhi-NCR, Punjab and other states. Police say that this network is connected to Pakistan’s arms suppliers and ISI.

Shahbaz sitting in Bangladesh is operating the network
This entire module is being handled by Shahbaz Ansari, a resident of Khurja, UP. Shahbaz Ansari is currently in Bangladesh and is operating from there. According to the police, Shahbaz’s uncle Rehan Ansari is also involved. Rehan is sitting in Dubai.
Sidhu’s name also came in Moosewala murder case
Shahbaz Ansari’s name has also cropped up in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. After his arrest in that case, he had absconded to Bangladesh after being released on bail. According to the police, the accused used to supply weapons through Nepal and Punjab border. Rahil Ansari, who is Shahbaz’s cousin, used to receive arms consignments in India.
Special cell will expose the entire network
At the same time, Fardeen, resident of Maujpur, Delhi, Vishal Singhania, resident of Azamgarh, UP and Ahmed of Jaunpur used to sell these weapons further. The Special Cell is now busy searching for other people associated with the entire network and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
