After the formation of Bharatiya Janata Party government in West Bengal, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is expanding rapidly. Within the state, 30500 people have taken membership of the Sangh in two months. Here, even when Trinamool Congress was in power, hundreds of people used to join RSS every month, but now this figure has reached thousands. In the months of May and June, 30500 people have taken membership of the organization.
If we keep an eye on the figures of the last 6 months, during the Trinamool Congress government, very less number of people used to become volunteers of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Now this number has increased. According to the information received from the Sangh, people were scared during the Trinamool Congress government. Now people are openly coming closer to the Sangh. The branches of the Sangh are now expanding in the urban areas as well as at the block and gram panchayat level.
Bengal of the Union was divided into three parts
At present, the Sangh is expanding rapidly in the three regions of South Bengal, Central Bengal and North Bengal. RSS has divided Bengal into three provinces, first is South Bengal whose headquarters is Kolkata, second is Central Bengal whose headquarters is Vardhaman, third is North Bengal whose headquarters is Siliguri. Till 2013, the number of Sangh branches in West Bengal was only around 800. In 2021 it was around 3000. In 2024, the number of branches of the Sangh was around 4550, which has increased to around 5500.

Branches increased across the country
According to the data received from reliable sources of the Sangh, a large number of people are joining the Sangh online in West Bengal. This includes people of all ages. More number of youth are being seen in this. There is a significant increase in the branches of the Sangh all over India. In 2025, the Sangh would have branches at 51740 places. This number has increased to 55683 in 2026. There were 83139 branches in 2025, which will increase to 88949 in 2026. The number of meetings in 2025 was 32147, which has increased to 32606 in 2026. If we pay attention to the numbers of the troupe, the number was 12091 in 2025, which reached 13211 in 2026.
