Delhi High Court on Friday ordered social media company Meta to remove objectionable pictures and material of a woman from its platform. The petitioner woman has accused CJP activists Saurav Das, Abhijit Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and Ratna Singh of circulating AI-generated pictures of her with PM Narendra Modi by morphing them. Delhi High Court, while hearing the petition of the victim woman, has asked the social media platform to remove the objectionable pictures within 24 hours.

Not only this, the High Court has also issued an order to provide police protection to the victim woman. In this case, along with Meta, notice has also been issued to CJP activists Saurav Das, Abhijeet Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and Ratna Singh. Besides, Delhi Police has also been ordered to submit the status report of this case to the court within two weeks. The next hearing of this case will be held on October 14.

The court has shown strictness in its order and said that this case is not only about a woman but the name of the Prime Minister of the country is also involved in it. CJP leaders Saurav Das and Abhijit Dipke had shared the AI-generated picture of the woman along with PM Modi on the social media platform Meta. After the woman filed the petition, the court has issued notice to Meta as well as CJP activists during the hearing.
Delhi High Court has given this order while hearing the writ petition of the victim woman. Advocate Umesh Chandra Sharma had appeared in the High Court on behalf of the woman. In this writ petition, the petitioner woman had asked the court to remove the objectionable and deepfake content of her and PM Modi on social media platforms and online platforms. While hearing the woman’s petition, the court has issued notice to the social media platform as well as the CJP activist who shared the picture.
Even before this, Meta has been summoned by the government in the CSAM case. Recently, Meta has accepted its mistake in this matter and removed objectionable posts related to children.
