Despite mixed reviews, Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s film ‘The One’ got a good response at the box office in theatres. According to the trade portal, the film’s earnings increased on the second day and its total net earnings in India reached Rs 19 crore. Looking at the current trend of the box office, it is expected that the film will perform even better on Sunday.
There was a jump in the second day’s earnings of ‘The One’
According to Saknilk, with the new figures, this fantasy thriller has taken its total net earning of two days in India to Rs 19.00 crore. The film was released in theaters on 25 September and collected Rs 8.00 crore on the first day in India. Saturday’s figures saw a spectacular growth and the earnings reached Rs 11.00 crore. The second day’s data shows an increase of 37.5% over Friday’s earnings. The number of shows also increased on the second day. The film had 6,887 shows on Saturday as compared to 6,746 shows on Friday.
Highest occupancy on Saturday
The total occupancy of the Hindi 2D version on the second day was 38.54%. These figures varied in shows at different times of the day. The morning show ‘The One – Force of the Forest’ recorded 16.54% occupancy on Saturday. The afternoon show saw a significant increase and the occupancy stood at 38.38%. The evening show had 38.92% occupancy. The highest number of viewers came for the night show, which recorded 54.92% occupancy. Overall, the Hindi 2D show of the film had 38.54% occupancy on Saturday.
