Some easy and effective home remedies for skin care

  • Honey and curd: The combination of honey and curd works as an excellent mask for oily or combination skin. Take 3-4 spoons of curd and half spoon of honey. Mix these and apply a layer on the entire face. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash.
  • Cucumber: Cucumber has skin soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It is good for all skin types whether it is dry, oily, combination or sensitive. You can either place thin slices of cucumber on the face or grate it and make a mask. Use it once or twice a week.
  • Cucumber and milk: It can be used in two ways: by dipping the cucumber in milk or by grating the cucumber and mixing it with milk and applying it on the face. This can reduce redness caused by acne and can make the skin look brighter due to the lactic acid present in milk.
  • Cucumber and curd: Its effect is similar to the remedy with cucumber and milk. Apply the mask on the face and leave it for 20 minutes. It helps in soothing the skin and reducing redness.
  • Tomato: Tomato contains lycopene, which is an antioxidant. Apply tomato juice or rub raw tomato on tanned areas. Let it dry and wash after 15 minutes. This can be done once or twice a week. It helps in reducing tanning. It will not help in reducing stubborn dark spots.
