Vodafone Idea has made international roaming free with some of its recharge and postpaid packs. Users will be able to enjoy free incoming and outgoing calls in 170 countries. Users will not need to buy a separate roaming pack while traveling in those countries. However, Vodafone-Idea has also placed some limitations with this offer. Users can avail free international roaming only for 3 foreign trips in a year.
Offers will be available in selected plans
This offer of Vodafone Idea is only for users taking select prepaid and postpaid plans. According to the company, users will get the benefit of free international roaming in 170 countries. They will be able to access incoming calls on the phone for free. Talking about postpaid plans, this offer is for all users taking individual, business and family plans.
Users who take Vodafone-Idea plans of Rs 501 or more will get the benefit of this offer. At the same time, prepaid users with unlimited plans of Rs 451 or more will get the benefit of this offer. Vodafone-Idea users can avail this offer through Vi app installed on their phones. Users will be able to activate this Roam Free Plan from the app itself.
However, users availing this offer will get its benefit on international trips three times a year. Users will get international data quota, outgoing calling minutes etc. depending on their plan.
You will be able to choose the data as per your wish
Vodafone-Idea has recently introduced a special recharge plan for crores of its users. Users can choose the data available in the plan as per their wish. At present no other telecom company is offering such facility. How successful this experiment of Vodafone-Idea will be will be known only in the coming time. The company has launched plans of Rs 249 and Rs 250. This plan has been specially introduced for those users who want to keep their SIM active at low cost. Both these recharge plans come with a validity of 28 days.
