In the beginning of October, the weather is going to be dry at some places and there is going to be heavy rain at some places. There is also a possibility of light snowfall at some places in the mountainous areas. Talking about monsoon, the departure of monsoon from North India including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana is almost certain, but in many states including Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal, the rainy season may still continue for the next one week. Along with this, there are chances of heavy rain in states like Maharashtra, Odisha, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
The Meteorological Department says that in the next 2-3 days, monsoon will withdraw from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and the rest of Uttar Pradesh, while there is no possibility of monsoon returning from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. Today i.e. on October 1, there may be light snowfall or snow cover in the high mountain and Himalayan regions of India like the higher reaches of Uttarakhand (around Chamoli and Hemkund Sahib). Light snowfall has been recorded in the higher reaches of Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu.

- There is a possibility of isolated rain (at isolated places or scattered) over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad during 5-6 October, over Uttarakhand during 1-2 October and 5-6 October.
- East Madhya Pradesh between October 1 and 3, Vidarbha between October 5 and 6; There is a possibility of isolated rain in Chhattisgarh between October 2 and 6.
- Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic plains West Bengal, Odisha and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim between October 1 and 6; In Jharkhand between October 1 and 2; There is a possibility of isolated rain in Bihar between October 3-6.
- Isolated thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds (speed 30-40 km/hr, with gusts up to 50 km/hr) are likely at isolated places over Odisha on October 1.
- Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya between October 1 and 6; There is a possibility of isolated rain, isolated thunderstorm and lightning in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura between October 1-6.

- Kerala and Mahe between October 1 and 6; Coastal Karnataka between October 1 and 2; Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over South Interior Karnataka on October 1.
- in Kerala and Mahe between 3 and 4 October; There is a possibility of isolated thunderstorm and lightning in coastal Karnataka on October 1.
- Over Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on October 1; There is a possibility of isolated heavy rain over Kerala and Mahe on October 1-2 and October 4.
