Coffee at Kurukshetra: Today i.e. on Tuesday, an important issue related to Ayodhya was at the center of discussion in India TV’s popular program “Coffee on Kurukshetra”. It was told in the program that the flag hoisting program at Sheshavtar Temple was organized with simplicity this time. Earlier there were preparations to give it a grand look, but due to the Lucknow fire, the event was kept limited. The Deputy CM was likely to attend, but he did not participate in the program. VHP’s national spokesperson Vinod Bansal and political analyst Shantanu Gupta were present as guests along with the show’s anchor Pinaz Tyagi and India TV’s political editor Devendra Parashar in the discussion.
Ban on cameras in temple premises
Another important thing came to light during the discussion that this time a major change was seen that the entry of cameras inside the temple premises was banned. Usually, media was present in every event related to Ram Temple, but this time cameras of private, government or any agency were not allowed inside. This increased the mystery surrounding the program.
Eyes fixed on Champat Rai’s presence
During the program, there was also a discussion on whether Trust General Secretary Champat Rai would be present in the event or not. His presence or absence is being linked to his position in the Trust. If he maintains his distance, it may raise questions about his future.
SIT investigation in offering theft case
The issue of theft of offerings from Ram temple was also discussed in detail in the programme. The investigating SIT has submitted its initial report to the government. After this, the entire team counting the offerings was changed and the matter of removal of about 50 employees has come to light. Outsourced employees have also been shown the door.
Questions were also raised in the discussion regarding the names of Champat Rai, Dr. Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao. It was said that without action against them, it may be difficult to erase the stain of this dispute. The question also arose whether it was negligence, involvement or a matter of lack of capacity.
Debate over responsibility versus allegations
There was a debate in the panel that in case of such irregularities in any organization, the responsibility of the people holding top positions should be fixed. However, some guests said that it is not right to convict someone without concrete evidence and the final report of the SIT should be awaited.
VHP defended
Vishwa Hindu Parishad spokesperson defended Champat Rai, saying that he has dedicated his entire life to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and the allegations being leveled against him are baseless. He said that until the investigation is completed, it would be premature to reach any conclusion.
Questions on trust and transparency
The whole matter has raised questions on the functioning of this big faith-related institution. It was also said in the program that a strong and transparent system is necessary to avoid such disputes in future. Now all eyes are on the final report of the SIT.
