A major accident occurred in Nainital, Uttarakhand when a tempo traveler full of passengers fell into a ditch. In this horrific accident, two women died while 25 others were injured. The accident happened on Wednesday night on Kaladhungi Road in Nainital. The speeding tempo trolley suddenly lost control and fell straight into a ditch on the roadside.
Accident happened while returning
The trip of a family from the lock factory area of Meerut to Nainital turned into a tragic accident. According to the information, Anees, who lives here, had gone to Nainital 3-4 days ago with his family and relatives. On Wednesday, everyone was returning back to Meerut, during which the driver lost control of the vehicle at a turn on the hilly road and the tempo traveler fell into a ditch.
Fear of increasing death toll
There was hue and cry on the spot after the accident. As soon as the information was received, the rescue operation was started immediately. Along with the local people, the district administration team engaged in rescue. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where two women died while 25 injured are undergoing treatment. Seeing the seriousness of the accident, Nainital DM and SSP came into action. He reached the spot and took stock of the situation. A special team of doctors has been alerted in the hospital.
According to experts, the condition of many people is more serious, hence the number of deaths is expected to increase.
Names of people injured in the accident-
According to the police, a total of 29 people were traveling in the tempo traveller. All of them are residents of Meerut district of UP. The injured also include women, men and children. The bodies of both the deceased have been sent to Haldwani for postmortem. The injured passengers include Suhema, Taswibya, Mahira, Sofia, Sana, Aashiq, Saad, Ayesha, Anisha, Shakir, Farat, Nafees Ahmed, Rashid Ahmed, Laiba, Ulbiya, Monish, Reshma, Ruksana and many others.
Mourning spread in Meerut, family members reached Haldwani overnight
At the same time, as soon as the matter came to light, the concern of other people in the family of Meerut has increased. As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was mourning in the lock factory area of Meerut. The family left for Haldwani overnight. A crowd of family members has gathered outside the hospital and all are praying for the safety of the injured relatives.
