India increased the number of nuclear bombs
SIPRI report estimates for India that the country’s nuclear arsenal will increase to 190 in 2026. Whereas in the year 2025 this number was 180 warheads. This increase in India’s nuclear arsenal reflects the continued expansion of the country’s strategic capabilities. India is ahead of Pakistan in terms of nuclear bombs. Pakistan’s arsenal is projected to remain unchanged at 170 warheads from 2025 to 2026.
According to SIPRI, there has been a slight decline in the total number of nuclear bombs in the world. However, experts are warning that this trend could soon reverse as countries accelerate the deployment of new nuclear systems and slow the process of dismantling old warheads.
