India’s squad changed before Lord’s ODI, Washington Sundar’s replacement announced

The third and last match of the ODI series between India and England will be played on July 19 at Lord’s. Before this match, there has been a big change in the Indian team. Harsh Dubey has now been included in the team in place of injured player Washington Sundar. Sundar got injured during the second ODI match, due to which he has been ruled out of this last match. This three-match ODI series is currently tied at 1-1.

What did BCCI say about Sundar’s injury?

BCCI, while issuing a media advisory regarding Sundar, had said that Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the last ODI against England due to injury. Washington suffered a right hamstring injury during the second ODI played at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, due to which he has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the series. He will be examined and will seek specialist advice for further treatment of the injury.

Harsh Dubey made his ODI debut in the Afghanistan series

Harsh Dubey is an excellent all-rounder, who can win matches with both bowling and batting. He recently made his ODI debut in the series against Afghanistan in June. Till now he has played two ODI matches for India, in which he has taken 4 wickets. However, he did not get a chance to bat in both these matches. Now it remains to be seen whether he gets a place in the playing eleven in the third ODI against England or not.

Washington Sundar scored a half century in the first ODI

In the first match of the ODI series, Team India defeated England by 6 wickets. In that match, Washington Sundar played an important innings in Team India’s victory. In that match, Sundar along with Akshar Patel made a match-winning partnership of 102 runs. Sundar had scored unbeaten 52 runs on 63 balls in the first ODI. Whereas Akshar Patel played an important inning of 57 runs unbeaten on 52 balls. In such a situation, Sundar’s injury is a big blow for Team India.
