Delhi The proposal to take the Namo Bharat train running between Andhra Pradesh and Meerut to Rishikesh in Uttarakhand has been approved. This project will not only give a tremendous boom to the tourism sector of Uttarakhand. Rather, the entire picture and destiny of Rishikesh will also change. This will also greatly benefit those people of Delhi-NCR who like to spend their weekends among the mountains and rivers. After the launch of this project, people from Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad will be able to reach Rishikesh directly.

Which metro stations is Namo Bharat currently connected to?

People of Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad will be able to board Namo Bharat train from their nearest metro station to Sarai Kale Khan, Anand Vihar, Sahibabad or Ghaziabad and complete a fast, comfortable and convenient journey to Rishikesh.

Delhi-Rishikesh journey will be completed in 3 hours

There is a plan to take Namo Bharat train from Modipuram in Meerut to Lakshmanjhula near Rishikesh. After reaching Rishikesh, the total length of the 82 km long Delhi-Meerut NaMo Bharat Corridor will increase by 150 km to a total of 232 km. Namo Bharat train can run at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour. Due to which, the 230 km long journey from Delhi to Rishikesh will be completed in just 3 hours. Let us tell you that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Housing and Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and submitted a proposal to extend the Delhi-Meerut corridor to Rishikesh.

Planning to make Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station an interchange hub

NCRTC wants to connect its network with Gurugram as well as Faridabad and Noida. Planning is underway to make Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station the hub of this high speed network. Therefore, in future, Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station will also become a major interchange hub of Delhi-Gurugram-Neemrana-Alwar Namo Bharat Corridor. In such a situation, not only the people of Delhi, Gurugram, Noida but also people of Neemrana and Alwar will be able to reach Rishikesh directly with the help of Namo Bharat train. Along with Delhi-Gurugram-Neemrana-Alwar, Delhi-Sonipat-Panipat-Karnal corridor is also proposed.

Namo Bharat network will be connected to Noida International Airport

Not only this, the government is also considering connecting Noida International Airport with NaMo Bharat network. At present, there is a plan to connect Namo Bharat with Noida International Airport via Ghaziabad and Greater Noida. This may also be changed in future. If this happens then people from Haridwar, Rishikesh and surrounding areas will also be able to take flights from Noida.
