DMK President MK Stalin has made a scathing attack on Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay regarding the continuous criminal incidents and deteriorating law and order in Tamil Nadu. Stalin alleged that the safety of people in the state was in danger and Tamil Nadu was ‘stained with blood’.
Stalin appealed to the Chief Minister to come out of ‘film shooting mode’ and take action. He said incidents of crime, including murder, were increasing in different parts of the state and the government should understand the seriousness of the situation. In his statement, the former Chief Minister raised the question whether the policemen were patrolling regularly or not. He also targeted the government regarding women’s safety.
“Incidents of crime are happening day and night”
Referring to the ‘Singapen’ Special Force personnel, Stalin asked whether these personnel would not focus on ensuring the safety of women instead of showing interest in making reels on social media. Stalin said that incidents of crime are taking place in the state day and night without any difference. He alleged that the law and order situation has deteriorated and Tamil Nadu is stuck in a quagmire of blood.
Home department also with CM Vijay
The DMK chief said that Chief Minister Vijay also holds the Home Department and he should understand the seriousness of the current situation. He said that now the time for making excuses is over and the Chief Minister should take immediate steps. Stalin appealed to the Chief Minister to “come out of film shooting mode and take action.”
Will Vijay’s government fall?
Let us tell you that in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, actor-turned-politician Joseph Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) won 108 seats and formed the government with the support of other parties. After this DMK was out of power and Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister. However, shortly after the government was formed, DMK chief and former chief minister MK Stalin claimed that The Vijay-led coalition government will not be able to complete its five-year term. Speaking at an event in Chennai, Stalin said the government was running with the support of parties that were part of the DMK-led alliance until the recent elections.
Stalin had claimed that the TVK did not have enough mandate to run a stable government independently, as the party did not reach the majority mark of 118 seats. He said that the present government is running because of the strategic alliance and support of some political parties. According to the election results, TVK got 108 seats, DMK 59 and AIADMK 47 seats, while other parties including Congress got 20 seats. Congress was in the DMK alliance before the elections, but after the results came out it supported TVK.
