Let us tell you that Muslim bouncers in Hyderabad have alleged discrimination and not getting work in Dandiya events.
What did Owaisi say?
Asaduddin Owaisi posted on his
Owaisi said this regarding media reports. In fact, in media reports, MD Firoz (Fazal), a professional bouncer, had expressed serious concern that some communally minded people are allegedly running a campaign aimed at boycotting Muslim bouncers and employees involved in lighting, decoration, DJ and sound-system services during Dandiya events.
What allegations have the Muslim bouncers made?
Muslim bouncers in Hyderabad have alleged that event organizers are not employing them in dandiya events because of their religion. Bouncer agencies have demanded the Telangana government and police to take action against those who are affecting their livelihood.
Bouncers and representatives of agencies raised the issue at a press conference on Sunday. He alleged that from 2024, Muslim bouncers are being refused employment in Dandiya events, hotels and other functions, due to which they are facing financial crisis.
MD Firoz (also known as Fazal), along with agency representatives Shankar Reddy, Salige Prabhakar and Salman, appealed to the organizers to treat Hindu and Muslim bouncers equally. He said that thousands of bouncers from both communities work together in Telangana and religion has no impact on their work.
Firoz said, “Earlier we used to get contracts for most of the dandiya events across the city. This year, most of my colleagues have been told that Muslims are no longer welcome to work as bouncers.”
What did Hindu leader T Raja Singh say?
Hindutva leader T Raja Singh said on this issue, “Dandiya and Garba festival is celebrated with great pomp on the auspicious occasion of Navratri in Telangana. For about 4-5 years, we all had started a campaign to boycott non-Hindu bouncers in Hindu festivals. The people who organize Garba and Dandiya have also supported this. No Hindu girl should become a victim of love jihad because these are the bouncers. Who allow other non-Hindus to enter the Dandiya and Garba festivals. That is why awareness has come in Telangana in the last 4-5 years.”
Hindutva leader T Raja Singh also targeted Owaisi and said, “Today I have seen a tweet by Asaduddin Owaisi. He tweets in support of Muslim bouncers. I would like to ask Owaisi, what is the use of Muslims in Hindu festivals? Now will you decide whether there should be Hindu bouncers or Muslim bouncers in Hindu festivals, Garba and Dandiya festivals?”
T Raja Singh said, “Who are you? When you do not give entry to Hindus in your festivals, do not give any work to Hindus, if any Hindu works then you people think of attacking him, then what is the difference between your thinking and ours, think once?”
T Raja Singh said, “We have seen over the years in the Dandiya festival that wherever there were Muslim bouncers, there was an increase in the cases of love jihad. You people have targeted Hindu girls by calling them Hindu names.”
Earlier, there was once a news from Kanpur, UP that a Muslim youth was beaten up for entering the Dandiya and Garba programme. Its video had gone viral.
