Major legal action has been taken in the case of the terrorist attack that took place last year in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In this case, the court has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Hafiz Saeed. According to the information, Jammu court has issued this warrant on the petition of NIA. In the petition, Hafiz Saeed has been described as the mastermind of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Let us tell you that 26 civilians were killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

The process of declaring him a fugitive will also begin

In the supplementary charge sheet filed on July 10, NIA has made Hafiz Saeed an accused in the Pahalgam terror attack case. After the court order, the way has been cleared for trial in absentia against Hafiz Saeed. NIA has told the court that Hafiz Saeed is currently present in Pakistan and it is not possible to bring him to India at present. Under the new criminal laws, a provision has been made for trial in absentia against the absconding accused. Now the legal process to declare Hafiz Saeed a fugitive will also be started.

Terrorist attack was planned in Pakistan

According to NIA, the conspiracy of Pahalgam attack was hatched in Pakistan. According to the investigating agency, Hafiz Saeed played an important role in the conspiracy. NIA has said that all legal possibilities of extradition from Pakistan are almost over. In the first chargesheet filed by the NIA, three Pakistani terrorists Suleman, Jibran and Hamza Afghani were made accused. Pakistani Lashkar terrorist Sajid Saifullah Jatt has also been named as an accused in the charge sheet. Bashir Ahmed and Parvez Ahmed of Pahalgam have also been made accused.

Let us tell you that Pakistani terrorists had carried out a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. 26 people were killed in this attack, mostly tourists. The painful thing was that the terrorists asked people about their religion and then killed them. A wave of anger was seen across the country after this attack. In response to this incident, India launched a retaliatory military operation against Pakistan named ‘Operation Sindoor’. In this action, Indian forces had destroyed the military and terrorist infrastructure present in Pakistan and PoK. In this action, nine terrorist hideouts including the strongholds of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed were destroyed. Apart from this, a dozen airbases of Pakistan were also destroyed.
