Makhana Bhel Recipe

First step- To make Makhana Bhel, first fry the raw Makhana until it becomes crispy. For this, put some ghee in a pan and roast the makhana on low flame. You have to fry the makhana until it becomes completely crunchy. The makhana should be crunchy when pressed with hands.

Second step- Now add half cup chopped onion, half cup chopped tomatoes and half cup pomegranate seeds in a large vessel. Add roasted makhana in it. Mix tamarind chutney, coriander-mint chutney and lemon juice. Now apply tempering with rock salt, black salt, plain salt, chaat masala, cumin powder and Kashmiri red chilli powder.

Third step- Mix everything well and add a little sev on top for taste. This will further enhance the taste of Makhana Chaat. Serve Makhana Bhel immediately and enjoy. Do not store it for later as adding chutney will seal the makhana and reduce the crunch and become soft.
