A paralyzed elderly man remained trapped in the clutches of a poisonous snake for about two hours in the Buddhist district of Odisha. The matter is of Adenigarh village of Harbhanga block of Buddh district. Krishna Chandra Sahu, who lives here, is paralyzed and one part of his body does not function properly. According to the information, Krishna Chandra Sahu was sleeping in his house late last night. The window of the room was open at that time. Meanwhile, a poisonous snake entered the house through the window.
The snake went straight to the place where Krishna Chandra Sahu was sleeping. Within some time the snake climbed onto his body. When Krishna realized that there was a snake on him, his condition worsened, but being paralyzed, he could neither get up immediately nor call anyone for help. He became completely helpless as one part of his body was not functioning.
The snake bit the old man
It is being told that after some time he tried to get up to save himself. But by then the situation had become even more dangerous. The snake had wrapped around his hand and held it tightly to a chair kept nearby. After a long time, when his family members heard his voice and restlessness, they reached the room. The family members also got scared after seeing the scene there. He saw that a poisonous snake was wrapped around the hand and chair of Krishna Chandra Sahu and the elderly man was trapped in an almost hostage-like situation.
Rescue operation lasted for four hours
The family members started trying to save Krishna with utmost caution. After a lot of hard work and patience, through efforts that lasted for about four hours, Krishna Chandra Sahu was finally taken out safely from the clutches of the snake. It is a matter of relief that the snake did not bite him during this entire incident and no major accident occurred. After this the snake was safely released outside the house.
Nephew told me he saw it with his eyes
Krishna Chandra Sahu’s nephew Kumud Sahu said about the incident, “My uncle was sleeping at home when a snake first crawled on his stomach. Frightened, my uncle sat on the ground taking the support of the chair of the dining table. He is a paralysis patient. When he got scared and sat on the chair, the snake climbed on the chair from his back and got wrapped around his hand. It was as if a rope had got wrapped around him. After hours of hard work We freed uncle from the grip of the poisonous snake and left the snake safely outside.”
