After the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Supreme Court on Friday issued a new circular regarding the work. In this, major changes have been made in the way court hearings and employees work. This decision has been taken after an order of the Central Government and it has been implemented immediately.
According to the Supreme Court circular, now hearing of cases on Monday, Friday and other such days, which are called “Miscellaneous Days”, will be done only through video conferencing. Apart from this, hearing will be conducted online even on partial working days of the court. The court administration has been asked to send video conferencing links on time and keep the technical arrangements strong so that no one faces any problem.
Supreme Court judges will also do car pooling
Supreme Court judges have also decided to promote car pooling among themselves to save fuel. This means that the judges will now travel together in the same vehicle as per the need. An important decision has also been taken in the circular regarding court employees. According to the order, up to 50 percent of the employees in every branch and section of the Supreme Court have been allowed to work from home two days a week. However, the remaining employees will have to be present in the office so that the work of the court is not affected.
Employees allowed to work from home
It has also been made clear in the order that the employees who will be allowed to work from home will have to be always available on phone and will have to come to the office immediately when needed. Officials have also been asked to ensure that all important work is completed on time. If the need for work in any branch is high and working from home is not considered appropriate, then the concerned Registrar can change or limit the arrangement of work from home in that branch. This circular has been issued by Supreme Court Secretary General Bharat Parashar.
