Pakistani Army has created a massacre in Pakistan occupied Kashmir i.e. PoK. The army has opened fire on the protesters in which 35 people have been killed and more than 100 people are said to be injured. Tension has increased in PoK after this incident. The Joint Awami Action Committee, which led the protests in PoK, has alleged that security forces opened fire on people gathered at a funeral in Rawalakot. A large number of people have been killed in this firing. Now the Indian Government’s statement on this violence by Pakistani Army has also come out.
When and where did the firing take place?
Actually, protests have been going on in PoK for the last several days against the banning of Joint Awami Action Committee i.e. JAAC. Meanwhile, a protestor named Shahzaib Habib was killed in police firing in Rawalakot. After this, a large number of people came to participate in his funeral. According to some media reports, people had gathered outside the hospital to mourn. Meanwhile, the security forces started firing indiscriminately on the mourners. More than 35 people died in this while about 200 people were injured. Senior leaders of JAAC say that Pakistan’s security agencies have been ordered to fire directly on the Awami Action Committee members.
What did the Indian government say?
India’s statement on the ongoing Pakistani brutality in PoK has also come out. India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said – “In this context, we are increasingly seeing a spate of fake news and videos from Pakistan. This is a desperate attempt by Pakistan to hide its failures and divert attention from its human rights violations. There have been reports of horrific police brutality in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, in which several protesters have been killed and many others injured. We hope that the international community will hold Pakistan to account for its Will be held accountable for misdeeds and atrocities.”
Why is action being taken against JAAC?
People of JAAC have been raising issues related to the common people, protesting on the issue of inflation, corruption> JAAC had opposed the reservation of 12 seats for refugees in the so-called assembly of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. JAAC demands that these reserved seats should be abolished because these seats have been reserved for people coming from Kashmir. But it has been captured by the main political parties of Pakistan. Following these demands, Pakistan has taken action against JAAC.
30 British MPs opened their front
Despite millions of efforts, Pakistan is not able to suppress the voice of the people of PoK. Demonstrations are not taking place only in Rawalkot and Muzaffarabad. The cycle of oppression being perpetrated on people is echoing across the seven seas. People of PoK gathered outside the Pakistan Consulate in Bradford, England carrying banners and posters and raising slogans against the Pakistan government. Not only this, 30 British MPs have raised their voice against the atrocities and atrocities being committed on the people of PoK.
