PM Modi Rahul Gandhi Interaction: During the function organized in the memory of social reformer Jyotirao Phule in the Parliament campus today (Saturday), the conversation between PM Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi caught everyone’s attention. When Prime Minister Modi arrived to pay floral tributes at the statue of Jyotirao Phule on the occasion of his birth anniversary, many dignitaries, including Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, were standing in a line. After PM Modi greeted everyone with folded hands, he stopped near Rahul Gandhi and started talking to him. Although, it was not known what they talked about during this 1-minute discussion, but Rahul Gandhi was seen responding to PM Modi’s words and nodding his head.

Along with Rahul Gandhi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister JP Nadda, Arjun Ram Meghwal, outgoing Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh and others were also present. This short conversation also gave rise to speculations on social media. However, after paying tribute to social reformer Phule, PM Modi wrote on X, ‘Paying tribute to Mahatma Phule in the Parliament complex. May his ideals continue to provide hope and strength to countless people.

PM Modi remembered Phule’s ideals

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Jyotirao Phule was a visionary social reformer who dedicated his life to the ideals of equality, justice and education. PM Modi said in another post, ‘He was also a pioneer in talking about the rights of women and marginalized people. Through his efforts, education became a powerful means of empowerment.

PM Modi said that this year the 200th birth anniversary celebrations of Jyotirao Phule are starting. He said that his thoughts should continue to guide everyone in the path of progress of the society.
