  • Myth 2: Shampoo reduces hair fall: The main function of shampoo is to clean the scalp. Shampoos contain surfactants that dissolve oil from the scalp to provide a thorough clean. For dry hair, you can choose a shampoo with moisturizing ingredients like avocado, coconut or argan oil. If hair is thin, using caffeine containing shampoo can be beneficial.
  • Myth 3: Biotin supplements prevent hair fall: The most common causes of hair fall are deficiency of iron, vitamin D, vitamin B, zinc, selenium etc. Taking supplements of these micronutrients would be more beneficial.
