Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic drama film ‘Cocktail 2’ has been released in theaters on June 19. Although the film received a mixed response from the audience and critics, it had a tremendous opening at the box office. The film has also got the benefit of the weekend. The makers of ‘Cocktail 2’ said on Sunday that the film has earned a whopping Rs 53.4 crore worldwide in the first two days of its release. The film opened with a worldwide collection of Rs 24 crore on the first day and saw a significant rise on the second day, earning Rs 29.4 crore.
Cocktail 2 broke the record of film Deva
‘Cocktail 2’, which was shown in 10,245 shows, recorded 26% overall occupancy on Saturday. Occupancy was 13.23% in the morning show, 31.38% in the afternoon, 34.77% in the evening and 42.46% in the night show. ‘Cocktail 2’ has now crossed the total earning of Shahid’s 2025 film ‘Deva’ of Rs 34.37 crore. However, ‘Cocktail 2’ is yet to cross the first ‘Cocktail’ film’s total earning of Rs 71 crore.
Cocktail 2 bombed at the box office
‘Cocktail 2’ has earned better than its previous film ‘Cocktail’ at the Indian box office, which is getting a lot of love from the audience. The 2012 film, written and directed by Imtiaz Ali, earned Rs 23.18 crore in its first two days in India. This success was achieved when ‘Cocktail 2’ was competing with films like Bobby Deol’s film ‘Bandar’, Hollywood horror film ‘Obsession’, Imtiaz Ali’s ‘I will be back’ and Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’.

‘Cocktail 2’ is starring Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan, Pramita R. Produced by Vijan and Ankur Garg. Pritam has composed the music, with lyrics primarily written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It is a standalone sequel. It is not a direct sequel to 2012’s ‘Cocktail’, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Diana Penty and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.
