andhra Bhogapuram International Airport built in Vizianagaram district of the state is going to be inaugurated. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wants to inaugurate the airport at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for which he is coming to Delhi today to invite the PM. The official name of Bhogapuram Airport is Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, which is scheduled to be inaugurated on 1 August.

Chief Minister Naidu will stay in Delhi on Wednesday

Apart from PM Narendra Modi, CM Naidu on his Delhi visit, Home Minister Amit Shah, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, Manohar Lal Khattar and C.R. You can also meet Patil. They will depart from Amravati for Delhi at 7.30 am and land in the capital at around 10.00 am. Chandrababu Naidu will stay in Delhi on Wednesday and will return to the State Secretariat by 10:20 am on Thursday.

Chief Minister gave special instructions to officials

Taking stock of the preparations for the inauguration on Monday night, CM Naidu directed that the event should be organized on a grand scale and Prime Minister Modi should be given a traditional welcome, reflecting the cultural heritage of North Andhra. The Chief Minister said that once Bhogapuram International Airport becomes operational, it will become the “jewel of North Andhra”.

Airport will prove to be a ‘game changer’ for the economic growth of the state

Apart from Bhogapuram International Airport, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also formally inaugurate the GMR Skill Development Centre, Aviation Hub-University and GMR-MANSAS Edu City. Describing the airport as an important project, Naidu said that it will act as a logistics hub, provide global connectivity and prove to be a ‘game changer’ for the economic growth of the state.

Instructions to provide free air travel to farmers and land owners

The Chief Minister also directed the officials to honor the farmers and land owners who have donated their land for this project. They should be given a chance for free air travel once. He also inquired about the extensive arrangements including traffic diversion, dedicated parking and security as well as essential facilities for the public.

Awareness program will be run for 10 days

Chandrababu Naidu also directed officials to conduct a massive publicity campaign about the airport from July 22 to July 31 and organize awareness programs in the districts of North Andhra for the next 10 days. He suggested that this opportunity be also used to strengthen the branding of ‘Araku Coffee’, which Prime Minister Modi has promoted on international platforms.
