Indian team’s two star batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are currently in England. Both the batsmen are participating in the 3-match ODI series of the Indian team’s tour of England. The first match of this series was played in Edgbaston, in which both the batsmen disappointed badly. Rohit Sharma was out after scoring only 11 runs. Whereas, Virat Kohli could score only 5 runs.

Rohit flopped once again

After flopping badly with the bat in the first match, there were a lot of expectations from Rohit and Virat in the second ODI match, but once again the Hitmen could not play a big innings. Rohit Sharma tried hard to stay on the field but returned to the pavilion after scoring only 26 runs. Rohit faced 47 balls. Even though Rohit got out cheaply and returned to the pavilion, he along with Virat made a partnership of 60 runs for the second wicket. During this partnership, Rohit and Virat together achieved great heights.

8000 run partnership between Virat and Rohit

Actually, the pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli is the third Indian pair to score the most runs in all three formats of cricket. Together, this pair has now achieved the great milestone of making a partnership of 8000 runs. Before this, only two Indian pairs had achieved this feat. The record of highest run partnership for India in all three formats is in the name of Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. Sachin and Ganguly together made a partnership of more than 12 thousand runs in all three formats. After this, the pair of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid is at second place. The pair of Sachin and Dravid together made a partnership of more than 11 thousand runs.
