New Delhi: A drop in temperature has been recorded due to rain in many states of the country including Delhi-NCR. The month of October usually starts the same way every year. This is the time when the weather patterns change completely and winter begins. Today, on October 14, the weather is expected to change in many parts of India and there is a high possibility of rain in North India.
According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds and hail are expected at some places in Delhi-NCR, Haryana and Punjab on Wednesday. Heavy rain may occur over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, widespread rain is expected over Himachal Pradesh and parts of North India. There is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of South India in the coming days. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema may receive heavy rain from Wednesday.

- Rain is expected in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, heavy rain may also occur in some areas.
- There is a possibility of cloudy sky and isolated rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. If conditions are favourable, snowfall may also occur in high altitude areas.
- There is a possibility of thunderstorm, lightning, strong winds and hail at isolated places in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.

- Interior Karnataka may experience rain, lightning and strong winds during October 14-18. Here winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 km.
- There may be light clouds in Delhi today. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be between 33°C to 35°C and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 20°C to 22°C. Light winds may blow in Delhi. Light rain may occur at some places.
