Because mother-in-law was also daughter-in-law, fans demanded 3
Amar Upadhyay recently shared an Instagram story, which contained a fan’s post. In this, a request was made to Ekta Kapoor that the next season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi should be brought on Netflix. The fan wrote, ‘Dear team, because mother-in-law was also once daughter-in-law, this cannot be the time to say goodbye! Ranked No. 2 overall on Hotstar and No. 1 among non-reality shows in India! Despite approaching the finale, the show is still ruling the charts. If that’s not proof of its never-ending magic, then what is? Being a Millennial, I have grown up watching Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi with my grandmother and great-grandmother. Now both of them are not among us. Being a Gujarati and living away from India, this show has always been a small way for me to connect with home and my loved ones. It not only showcased the traditions and big houses, but also beautifully presented the sense of belonging, dignity, generosity, emotions and unbreakable relationships that make Gujarati families so special.

Will be on Netflix because Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 3
In the same fan note shared by Amar Upadhyay, it was further written, ‘Even today, every member of the Virani family reminds me of my childhood, that childhood which I wish I could live once again. Dear Ekta Kapoor and the entire team of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, please don’t let this journey end here! We are looking forward to the third season. Perhaps on Netflix, where this iconic story can reach homes and hearts across the world and a glimpse of more Mihir-Tulsi, more Savita, Shobha and the entire Virani family! More laughs, banter, meltdowns, and stories that explore the beautiful complexities of love, marriage, parenthood, and intergenerational relationships. Because some shows entertain us, but a few select shows become a part of our family memories and history. ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ is one of those special shows and perhaps this is the reason why even after decades we are not ready to say goodbye to it, the show which is still ruling the charts deserves not a farewell but another new chapter. Season 3 on Netflix? We are not just wishing for it, but also hoping to see it come true!
