Cuttack: A sad news has come out from Cuttack, Odisha. Inspector Beauty Mahanti, in-charge of Chauliaganj police station, was found dead in her official residence on Saturday morning. After this incident, there is a wave of mourning in the police department and investigation into the matter has been started.
What is the whole matter?
According to the information, Beauty Mohanty was recently appointed as IIC of Chauliaganj police station. When she was not opening the door of her government quarter for a long time on Saturday morning, the policemen became worried. He was called several times, but he did not respond to any call.
After not getting any answer to the phone, the police station staff reached his official residence and knocked on the door. When no response was received for a long time, senior police officers were informed. After this the police broke the door and entered inside.
On reaching inside, the dead body of Beauty Mahant was found hanging. As soon as information about the incident was received, senior police officers reached the spot and inspected the entire incident site. Police have taken the body into their custody and sent it to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for post-mortem. The exact cause of death can be officially confirmed only after the post mortem report comes.
Police did not release any official statement regarding the cause of death
At present, the police has not issued any official statement regarding the cause of death. However, according to sources, in the initial investigation it is suspected that she was troubled by domestic problems for a long time. It is being told that continuous disputes related to family could be a possible reason for this incident.
Beauty Mahanti had earlier also served as inspector in-charge of the local women police station. Recently he was given the responsibility of Chauliaganj police station.
As soon as information about the incident was received, DCP and CP of Cuttack also reached the spot. The incident site was inspected in the presence of senior officials and investigation into the matter was started.
