The petition has raised the issue of large-scale deletion of voters’ names and irregularities during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls. The opposition has demanded an immediate stop to the SIR process and removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar from the post.

You have committed a mistake, but you are not the brain behind this mistake.” He also said that the Chief Election Commissioner should understand his responsibility and the opposition’s fight is against the forces which are behind them.
