A major case related to wildlife conservation and hunting has come to light from Ranga Reddy district of Telangana. On Sunday, Special Operations Team (SOT) and local police took joint action against Raikal. toll plaza 8 suspected poachers have been caught red-handed with 13 kg of deer meat. Police have also seized an air gun and two vehicles used in hunting from the possession of the accused. Now further investigation is going on in this matter.

According to the information, the SOT team had received a secret information that meat of banned wildlife was being transported in the area. Based on this information, the police team cordoned off the vehicles near Raikal Toll Plaza and started checking the vehicles. During this checking, when suspicious vehicles were stopped and searched, 13 kg of deer meat and weapons were recovered from them.
Intensive interrogation at Kothur Police Station
Immediately after the action, the police took all the eight accused into custody and brought them to Kothur police station. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the police immediately informed the forest department officials. As soon as the information was received, the special team of the Forest Department reached Kothur police station and started the investigation process by taking the seized material in their possession.

At present, a joint team of police and forest department is strictly interrogating the detained accused to find out where the deer was hunted and how the meat was transported. Officials are also examining air guns used for hunting and vehicles seized from the suspects as part of the investigation. Police said that a case will be registered in connection with this incident.
