After its video went viral on social media, the railway administration has now taken action and suspended the ticket checker concerned. In a statement issued by the Railway Ministry, the Railway Ministry said, on 6/7/26, a couple traveling in train number 11002 Nandigram Express had personally hired a decorator online to decorate their first AC coupe. The entry of the decorator into the coach was unauthorized and is being considered a serious lapse. The concerned employee (ticket checker) has been suspended and a detailed departmental inquiry has been ordered. Appropriate action will be taken based on the results of the investigation.

A couple had given the work to a private decorator
This case is of July 6, 2026, a couple traveling in train number 11002 Nandigram Express had hired a private decorator online to make their journey special and this decorator had gone inside the train and decorated their entire cabin like a wedding room. Its video went viral on social media and people kept making various comments. After this video surfaced, the railway administration came into action and strict action was taken.

Railways has given its clarification on this entire matter and has considered this matter as a serious lapse in terms of security. Railway administration said that the concerned staff has been suspended with immediate effect on charges of negligence. A detailed departmental inquiry into the matter has been ordered.
What had the Railways said earlier?
According to sources, the Railways had earlier said that passengers have no objection to decorating their cabins. If a passenger books the entire cabin and decorates it himself, the Railways has nothing to do with it. It is completely the passengers’ right to choose how they want to travel and it is not considered a violation of any law.
