The ‘Students’ Echo’ program organized by Congress on July 15 in Bihar has been cancelled. According to sources, the state unit could not prepare the program properly, due to which the program was cancelled. On the other hand, the party says that due to the upcoming elections in Bankipur assembly constituency, Model Code of Conduct is in force, due to which the program had to be cancelled.
It is being told that after the cancellation of the program in Patna, Congress has made a big change in its strategy. Now this program will be organized in Dehradun instead of Patna. The tentative date for this event is July 17.
Formation of PAC for Uttarakhand
In another news, Congress has intensified its election preparations in view of the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand early next year. The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Tuesday formed a high-level Political Affairs Committee (PAC) for the Uttarakhand Congress. In this committee, an attempt has been made to prepare a strong team by involving all the powerful leaders and groups of the state.
According to an official release issued by the party’s Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the proposal regarding formation of this committee with immediate effect. Almost all the top faces of Uttarakhand have been included in this 23-member committee formed by Congress, so that the message of unity can be given by ending factionalism.
23 veterans got place
In this 23-member committee, party general secretary and state in-charge Kumari Selja, State Congress Committee President Ganesh Godiyal, legislature party leader Yashpal Arya, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, senior leaders Pritam Singh, Gurdeep Singh Sappal, Qazi Nizamuddin, Karan Mahara, Manoj Yadav, Surendra Sharma, Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, Bhuvan Kapri, Prakash Joshi and other leaders have been given place. The presidents of all front organizations of the party in the state will be ex-officio members of the committee, the release said. The formation of this committee is being considered very important in political circles.
