Former Foreign Minister of Singapore George Yeo has given a big statement comparing India and China. George Yeo has said that India is not a threat to any major power the way China is. George Yeo said this in front of India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at the Kautilya Economic Conclave held in New Delhi. George Yeo has said that India has a long history of diversity and cultural exchange that gives foreigners a sense of comfort and belonging that they may not feel in China.
India is open to the outside world
Former Singapore Foreign Minister George Yeo has said that India’s geographical location and centuries-old interaction with different cultures have made the country particularly open to the outside world. George Yeo said – “I do not believe that it is entirely easy for foreigners to understand China. India, on the other hand, has always been a place where the winds blow in one direction for 6 months and in the other direction for the next 6 months. The long-term movement of people, cultures, spices and ideas through the Indian Ocean has made India a reflection of the diversity found in the region.”

That is why other countries want the well-being of India. South-East Asia wants India to progress. He further said that in India you can always find your special place or comfort zone.
