Palakkad: A surprising case has come to light in Palakkad, Kerala. Here a person stole a KSRTC bus. Although the thief stole the bus, he failed to escape with it. After stealing the bus, the accused drove the bus in many parts of the city, but the bus kept going out of control and he also hit many houses and shops with the bus. Ultimately the accused fled leaving the bus. At present, the police team is now scanning the CCTV footage and searching for the accused. Police say that such incidents have come to light earlier also.
Many houses and shops were hit
Giving information about the incident, police said on Sunday that an unknown person stole a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus parked near Palakkad depot. According to the police, after stealing the bus, the accused hit many houses and shops. Buses and other properties have also been damaged due to this. However, after the incident the accused fled leaving the bus. According to the police, the incident occurred around 2.50 pm. The bus was standing outside the depot at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, the accused came and fled with the KSRTC general service bus.
The thief left the bus and ran away
Police officials said that the accused drove the bus negligently. After stealing the bus, he drove the bus in some parts of the city and even hit it at many places. This caused damage to the boundary wall of a house and a shop. Police said that the bus was also damaged during this incident. On Sunday morning, the bus was found abandoned on the roadside near Mangalam Towers in Palakkad city. At present, after getting information about the case, the police team is scanning CCTV footage from different parts of the city to identify and trace the accused.
Police busy searching for the accused
Palakkad South Police has registered a case regarding the incident. The police is investigating the matter Police said similar incidents have been reported before from other parts of the state, in which parked KSRTC buses were moved unauthorizedly.
