New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has praised 18-year-old Sarthak and shared his video on his X handle. Praising Sarthak, Rahul wrote, “Sarthak is 18 years old, but he is no less than anyone in thinking, courage and principles. He and his partner Nisarg have done what the country’s big media houses and investigative journalists could not do – exposed the collusion of CBSE and COEMPT in front of the country.”

Rahul Gandhi said, “Modi ji wants our youth to keep making reels, keep frying pakodas, not ask questions, not open their eyes. But these children also asked questions. And also found answers. The country’s 18-year-old child turned out to be faster than the CBI – this victory of the youth is truly a defeat for the government. This is the real youth power of India – curious, aware, knowledgeable. And remember, the future of the country will not come under any influence.”

Sarthak came into limelight after CBSE OSM controversy

The CBSE OSM (On-Screen Marking) controversy came to light in May 2026, in which massive complaints were raised regarding the digital evaluation (On-Screen Marking) system of Class 12 board exams. After this, on June 2, 2026, the Central Government transferred CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh and Secretary Himanshu Gupta.

According to reports, this action of the government took place after the presentation of Sarthak. Actually, Sarthak had presented a 7-page presentation, in which the shortcomings of the tender process of selecting vendors (companies) for on-screen marking were pointed out and questions were also raised to the board. Only after this the Chairman and Secretary of CBSE were changed.

In fact, the students alleged that the copies of the scanned answer sheets were blurry and did not match the actual handwriting. Allegations were also made that there were irregularities in the marking, and the results were not matching. After this, a large number of students had applied for re-evaluation.

Sarthak himself was a class 12 student of CBSE board and had given the 12th examination this year. After the result, he had raised many questions regarding the marking system and expressed doubt on his answer sheet. After this he brought to light the shortcomings regarding the new marking system.
