New Delhi: Narcotics Control Bureau, in a major action under ‘Operation RAZEPILL’, has seized 227.2 kg of Captagon tablets and powder. A Syrian citizen was arrested in this case, who made many important revelations during interrogation. According to the investigating agency, this is considered to be the biggest operation so far, in which the smuggling and manufacturing network of dangerous drugs like ‘Captagon’ was allegedly targeted.
Machines, raw materials and packaging materials recovered
During investigation, the accused revealed that Captagon pills (Jihadi drugs) recovered from Neb Sarai area of New Delhi were manufactured illegally in a factory named M/s Green Herbal in November 2025. He also told that another Syrian colleague of his was also involved in this work. After this revelation, NCB raided the factory located in Dehradun on the night of 16 May 2026. State-of-the-art machines like tablet making, capsule filling, coating, sealing and blister packaging were found installed there. Apart from this, a large quantity of chemicals, raw materials and packaging materials were also recovered.
According to the investigating agency, the factory owner used to charge around Rs 50 thousand per day for manufacturing illegal drugs. The accused owner has already been under investigation in cases related to supply of Tramadol and other banned drugs. NCB has arrested the factory owner and presented him in the court. So far two people have been arrested in this case and further investigation is going on.
Islamic State terrorists use
‘Operation RAZEPILL’ is considered to be the biggest operation of Narcotics Control Bureau till date against Jihadi pills. These are Jihadi drugs, which have been continuously used by the terrorists of Islamic State and other different terrorist organizations. Its traces were found earlier also, but the Narcotics Control Bureau got information that now its consignment has reached India. It is called Jihadi drugs because after taking it the terrorists neither feel pain nor do they remain conscious. When intoxicated, they become more violent and dangerous to carry out terrorist incidents.
Captagon tablets and powder seized
This drug was being prepared in a factory in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was also kept hidden inside a consignment in Mundra Port, Gujarat. It was to be sent to Middle East and West Asia, investigation also revealed that a Syrian citizen had prepared his entire network in India.
Raids at several places under ‘Operation RAZEPILL’
After this the Narcotics Control Bureau started ‘Operation RAZEPILL’. Under this operation, continuous raids were conducted at different places. First of all, a house was raided in Swatantrata Senani Colony, Delhi, from where Jihadi drugs were recovered. A Syrian citizen was arrested under this operation. When the investigation progressed, it was revealed that the accused had prepared a complete syndicate. After this, information was received that this drug was hidden inside sheep wool in a consignment at Mundra Port in Gujarat. But before reaching Gujarat, it was very important to reach the factory of this network.
Captagon was getting ready in Dehradun
The investigation continued and finally the investigating agencies reached the factory in Dehradun where Captagon i.e. Jihadi drugs were being manufactured. This operation is being run at different levels. Narcotics Control Bureau teams are continuously taking action in many states including Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan. Narcotics Control Bureau Deputy Director General Operations Neeraj Gupta shared every detail of how NCB and many agencies are working together to destroy this entire jihadi drugs syndicate. This is why Union Minister Amit Shah has also praised this operation.
