‘Karuppu’ box office collection
According to the latest report of Sacknilk, ‘Karuppu’ has earned Rs 26.40 crore so far. The film had earned Rs 15.50 crore on its opening day and saw a jump in its figures on Saturday, when it earned Rs 24.15 crore. Sunday’s figures also seem to be moving upwards, thanks to the positive word of mouth about the film and the weekend gains. With this, the total India gross collection of the film has become 77.06 crores and the total India net collection till now has become 66.05 crores. On Sunday, ‘Karuppu’ collected Rs 22.61 crore from the Tamil show and an additional Rs 3.79 crore from the Telugu show. The film is currently running in a total of 6,818 shows.
Karuppu’s amazing story
In ‘Karuppu’, Suriya is playing the character of a fighter who also knows how to win court battles, as he is shown as a lawyer in the film. ‘Karuppu’ is directed by RJ Balaji and its story is based on the screenplay written by Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, TS Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar. It has been produced by ‘Dream Warrior Pictures’. Apart from Surya and Trisha Krishnan, Swasika, Indrans, Yogi Babu, Shivada, Natti Subramaniam and Supreeth Reddy are also seen in the film.
Why were Karuppu’s shows cancelled?
This action thriller film was scheduled to release in theaters on May 14, but due to financial problems faced by ‘Dream Warrior Pictures’ producer SR Prabhu, its shows were canceled at the last minute. Ultimately, the film released a day later, on May 15. Many actors from Tamil and Telugu industry congratulated Suriya for the success of the film and the response it received from fans.
