‘First resign, then go wherever you want’, Sanjay Singh’s clear message to rebel AAP MPs

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP and senior party leader Sanjay Singh in a press conference gave a clear message to the 7 Rajya Sabha MPs who rebelled against the party that if you have differences with the party from which you have been elected, then you should resign and go wherever you want.

Membership of all seven will be terminated – Singh

Sanjay Singh said that many constitutional experts have made it clear that the membership of all the 7 Aam Aadmi Party MPs who have announced to join BJP will be terminated. We have sent a petition to the Vice President of the country after taking the opinion of Kapil Sibal and all the experts. We have requested him that the Chairman should end all these memberships and take a decision on this as soon as possible.

Sanjay Singh further said that all of them have not only betrayed the party but have also betrayed the people of Punjab. He said, ‘If you have differences with the party from which you have been elected, then you resign and go wherever you want.

What did Raghav Chadha announce?

In fact, on Friday, Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha members Raghav Chadda and Sandeep Pathak held a press conference and announced that they and five other Rajya Sabha members of the party are joining BJP. Chadha said that seven out of 10 Rajya Sabha members of Aam Aadmi Party are going to merge with BJP.

Chadha said, “According to the Constitution, two-thirds of the total MPs of a party can merge with another party.” He told reporters, “We have submitted a letter in this regard to Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan today. All are submitting necessary documents.” Chadha said other AAP Rajya Sabha members joining the BJP are Harbhajan Singh, Rajendra Gupta, Vikram Sawhney, Swati Maliwal and Ashok Mittal. Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha members Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal were also present at the press conference along with Chadha.
