Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took oath as Rajya Sabha MP on Friday. Nitish Kumar has fulfilled one of his dreams by taking oath in Rajya Sabha today. Nitish has been in the Legislative Assembly twice and Legislative Council four times. On March 30, he resigned from the Legislative Council. Nitish has also been MP in Lok Sabha 6 times. Now he has taken oath as Rajya Sabha MP. Nitish had said that he wants to be a part of all four houses. That is why he has decided to go to Rajya Sabha. Now when Nitish Kumar is back in central politics, PM Modi has made a special tweet for him.

What did PM Modi say?

On Nitish Kumar’s arrival in the Rajya Sabha, PM Modi said – “Nitish Kumar ji is one of the most experienced leaders of the country. His commitment to good governance has been appreciated everywhere. He has made an indelible contribution to the development of Bihar. It will be very pleasant to see him in the Parliament once again. He has served for many years as an MP and Union Minister. I am confident that his long political experience will further enhance the dignity of the Parliament. Hearty congratulations to him on taking oath as a Rajya Sabha MP. Best wishes for the future term.”

Preparations begin for formation of new government in Bihar

Nitish Kumar is starting his innings as Rajya Sabha MP today, while on the other hand, preparations have started for the formation of a new government in Bihar. Today there will be a meeting of BJP core group in Delhi in which the party can finalize the name of CM face. If sources are to be believed, BJP is going to become the CM for the first time in Bihar. Many names are running in this race. However, the name has not been finalized yet. Preparations have also started for the formation of a new government in Bihar.

  • Bihar cabinet meeting will be held on 13 April.
  • Nitish Kumar will resign from the post of CM on 14 April.
  • NDA legislature party meeting will be held on 14th April itself.
  • The oath ceremony may take place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on April 15.
