After playing a 5-match T20 series against West Indies at home, the Indian cricket team has to leave for a long tour of New Zealand, where apart from the 5 T20 match series, they also have to play 5 ODI and 2 Test match series. Before this tour of Team India, the New Zealand team is facing continuous setbacks, in which now one name has also been added to their star fast bowler William O’Rourke, who is recovering from the hamstring and calf injury of his left leg, in which New Zealand Cricket has decided not to play him in any series against the Indian team, the main reason behind which is also considered to be the four-Test series against Australia in the month of December, so that William O’Rourke can be fully fit by that time.

We are being cautious regarding Will’s return

Information about William O’Rourke not being played in any series against the Indian team, in the statement issued by New Zealand Cricket, his coach Rob Walter said that obviously, it is disappointing for Will to be left out of such a big tour against India at home. He was scheduled to play in both the ODI and Test series, but after discussions we all agreed that it would be better for him to take some more time to recover from both his injuries and increase his bowling load properly. Our fast bowlers are going to be very important over the next few months and so we are being careful with Will’s return to ensure that he is fully fit before taking the field again. In such a situation, William O’Rourke can now be seen playing in the first match of the Test series to be played on the Perth ground on the tour of Australia from 9th December.

Chapman and Folks are out of T20 series

The New Zealand team has to play a 5-match T20 series at home before the Indian team’s tour, which will start from October 22. The Kiwi squad for this series was announced long ago, in which William O’Rourke did not get a place, but Mark Chapman and Jack Folks, who were included in the squad, were out due to injury long before the start of the series. New Zealand Cricket has included Josh Clarkson and Blair Tickner in the squad for the T20 series after the exclusion of these two players.
