A surprising case related to the registration number of a car has come to light in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. It is alleged that a doctor was roaming fearlessly in the capital for a long time by putting the registration number of another vehicle on his car. The matter came to light after a complaint by the driver of the original vehicle owner. After receiving the complaint, Chandrashekharpur police station took immediate action and seized the car concerned. Also, the accused doctor is being taken into custody and interrogated. The police is busy investigating the entire matter.
Same number plate on both cars
According to the information, the number OD-02-DL-3332 is actually the registration number of another person’s car, but the same number was being used on another car of the same company and of the same color. It is alleged that this car was running on the roads of the capital for a long time with this fake number plate. Information about the matter came to light when the driver of the original owner of the vehicle encountered a vehicle with fake plates. The driver lodged a complaint after seeing a car with a fake number plate at a petrol pump. Based on the complaint, the police started investigation and took the concerned vehicle into their custody.
Car driver identified
Neelkanth Sahu, driver of the original car owner, said, “The car with fake number plate was entering Chandrashekhar petrol pump from the wrong direction, then I saw that the number plate on that car was of our doctor sir’s car. After this I called doctor sir and asked him if he is in Bhubaneswar? He goes on Thursday visit because he is a doctor. When I asked sir, he said that he is in Chandbali. After this I told sir that there is another car with the number plate of his car.” The car was roaming in Chandrashekarpur petrol pump and he said that it was not possible because he was in Chand Bali and brought the car to Chandrashekarpur police station. He is being interrogated by the accused doctor.
Police seized the car
At present, the police is trying to find out why the number plate of another vehicle was put on the car, for how long the fake number plate was being used and what was the motive behind it. Along with this, the alleged forgery of number plates and other aspects related to the case are also being investigated. Police have seized the vehicle and the doctor is being interrogated.
