Domestic automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday said it will increase the prices of its non-electric (ICE powered) SUVs and automatic transmissions by 2.5 percent from April 6. According to PTI news, the company cited the increase in raw material and production costs as the reason for this increase. According to the company statement, Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the highest price increase of 2.5 percent in its ICE SUV and CV series, with the average increase across the entire portfolio being 1.6 percent.

The news also states that the price hike for the recently launched XUV7XO will come into effect once the delivery of the first 40,000 price-protected bookings is completed. Various auto makers like Tata Motors, JSW MG Motor India, BMW, Audi India and Mercedes-Benz have also increased the prices of their transmissions from April 1 due to rising input costs, the report said.
