Karnataka Cabinet Portfolios: Karnataka’s new Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has distributed departments among the ministers. Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has kept two departments with himself. These include the Finance Department and the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms i.e. DPAR. DK Shivkumar has handed over the remaining departments to his ministers. Also, Congress leader Priyank Kharge, son of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, has been given the Home portfolio by DK Shivakumar. Responsibility of Revenue Department given to Deputy Chief Minister Parameshwar
Chief Minister DK Shivakumar met Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Along with the Revenue Department, Parameshwara has also been entrusted with the responsibility of Sports and Youth Empowerment Department. Besides, Priyank Kharge has also been given the Department of Information Technology and Biotechnology along with the Ministry of Home Affairs. Apart from this, K. J. George has been given the Energy and Tourism portfolios.

Whereas, M.B. Patil has been assigned the Heavy and Medium Industries Department and Satish Jarkiholi has been assigned the Public Works Department. Along with this, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has given the Bengaluru Urban Development Department to Krishna Byregowda and the Water Resources Department to Ramalinga Reddy. Also, Minister K. H. Muniyappa has been given the Food and Civil Supplies portfolio.

Along with this, Bairati Suresh was appointed as the Transport Department, U. T. Khadar has been assigned to the Health Department, Dr. Yatindra Siddaramaiah to the Urban Development Department, Sharanprakash Patil to the Medical Education Department and Ishwar Khandre to the Rural Development Department.
