To keep the stomach cool in summer, people include curd in their diet. People also prepare raita and eat it. Raita is beneficial for the stomach and maintains gut health. Many types of raita are also made like boondi raita, cucumber raita etc. but have you ever tasted guava raita? As delicious as it is to eat, it is also very beneficial for health. Here we have brought for you an easy recipe of guava raita.

Material

  • Guava: 2 medium sized
  • Curd: 2 cups
  • Roasted cumin powder: 1 tsp
  • Black salt: as per taste
  • Green chilli: 1-2 (finely chopped)
  • Coriander: finely chopped
  • Red chilli powder: a pinch
  • Sugar: ½ tsp

Method of preparation

Prepare Guava: Wash and clean the guava thoroughly. If you want, you can peel it, but it is more nutritious with the peel. Cut the guava into small pieces.

Beat curd: Beat the curd in a large bowl until it becomes smooth.

Mix spices: Add black salt, roasted cumin powder, sugar and green chillies to the whipped curd and mix well.

Add guava: Now add the chopped guava pieces to the curd mixture and mix gently.

Garnishing: Sprinkle chopped coriander and a pinch of red chilli powder on top.

Serve cold: Keep it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes and then serve it chilled with food.
